LA BOCCA DEL LUPO tells the story of Enzo, who returns to Genua after a long prison sentence. He wanders the streets searching for the city of his past life, but it has changed almost beyond recognition. The one constant is Mary, his old companion, who has waited for him throughout the years of his imprisonment in a little house in the maze of alleys of Croce Bianca, via Pré, Sottoripa - ancient names in a place untouched by modern age where the twentieth century has run aground like a ship without an anchor.As much as the amazing and affecting story of Enzo and Mary, this is the tale of the director’s discovery of Genua, the fraying social fabric of its old quarters close to the port, and the shifting landscape of the present and the memories of its past
